Furniture design should not only be a highly
creative process, but also a close collaboration between the client
and the craftsman.

At TYME Furniture Studio, we begin each project as a conversation
with the client. We take care to learn the client’s tastes and understand
how they want the piece to function, even before initiating the formal
design process.
Each piece of our furniture is unique. More than 90% of the furniture
and architectural interiors we create is of our own design – fitting
form to function and taking into account any technical considerations
necessary to build a quality piece. Our experience gives us a keen
attention to detail and enables us to create a balanced piece that
will look as good when it is built as it does on paper.
Our custom furniture designs have included complete paneled Trophy
Rooms, Bars, Entertainment Centers, Libraries, Wall Units, Home Theaters,
Dining Tables, Console, Side and Coffee Tables, and various other
furniture pieces. |

Our
Design Process
Client
Consultation. We discuss the client’s vision and study
any drawings or photos the client may have. We also typically
visit the client’s home or business to take general measurements
and view the environment where the furniture piece will be installed.
Drawings.
The rough sketches we initially develop are translated into computerized
drawings which can be reviewed by the client. The client has the
opportunity to request changes or to approve the design.
Final
Measurements & Design. Once the basic design is approved,
we return to the client site to take exact measurements. We use
these final measurements to tweak the drawing as needed prior
to layout and build.
